In class our duty was to create our own picture and make a vinyl out of it. I love using photoshop so I headed straight into the program. There is this one video game which I love playing which is CS GO. It is a FPS and is really fun. I also created designs with my name.

Imagine instead of printing a 2D object on a piece of paper, you could print a 3D object. Well now we can! I've been interested in 3D for quite sometime now. I even took drafting last year because I was really interested. We used a program called inventor. It was fairly complicated but really fun. We made a keychain, chess pieces, and gears. Now after last year I wanted to step up my game and make separate objects which can link up together after printing them. This time I used 123D Design for my program. I love watching superhero movies so I decided to involve that with my object. In the end my object turned out to be Iron Man's reactor which keeps him alive. I made 3 objects. One was the base, the second was a gold ring, and the last was the top part. I also tried to be more innovative and include a place where I can put LED lights. It is fairly easy if you would like to try this. First you need to click the plane which you would like to work on. After you need to draw you piece, and then revolve it around the middle how many times you want.
On my presentation day, I was getting the butterflies because I didn't think I was ready. Obviously, I had to go and present so I stood up and took the march to the stand. 1 part I think I did bad was have bad body language which I should fix next time, but I like how I had a comedic relief attitude, so it made everyone be interested in my presentation. Overall I think it was a good IDS. I am definitely looking forward to next IDS and possibly use photoshop again! Thanks!

I also tried to make more pictures with another type of edit. They are really cool! Basically it's taking a picture and making it look like a way different scene. It is called photo manipulation. Here are some examples. This is what I made. For this all you need a lot of separate pictures and blend them together in photoshop. In this picture I used about 8 other pictures. For my first time I think it turned out pretty well. This could be something I do for my next IDS.
The only way my skills would improve, would be to practice, practice, practice, and that's exactly what I did. My favourite type of edit was the dispersion effect, so that is what I mainly did. Here are two more pictures:
I did not want to just stay fixed with one type of effect, so I kept searching. Another effect which came to my attention was the dispersion effect. To create this effect, I needed to learn how to mask pictures. After awhile of working with the effect I got better with it. This was my first attempt. For my first attempt it was terrible. I hated this but it motivated me to make something better which I created in day 4. During my process, I was always asking my peers for their evaluation of my work, so I know what to improve.
I am more of a hands on learner, so after awhile I need to stop getting taught by someone and try it for myself, so I jumped into photoshop. The photos I was more interested in others was turning someones face into an animated face. As a kid I've always watched cartoons because they are funny so I tried this out. Now I am not talking about just putting a filter on someones face, as they do in snapchat. I had to do it all with free hand and use the pen tool to create a masterpiece. My first picture was of the very nice guy, Gurpartap Minhas.
I started by researching my topic. I went on the amazing youtube and tried finding videos on what I wanted to learn. I kept narrowing my focus on what type of pictures I wanted to learn to create. I spent multiple hours watching videos, but it only felt like an hour. Thats when I knew this was going to be a fun IDS project. For our final python class, we had and evaluation! I did not think I was ready for this at all. I was still having trouble with remembering steps while creating my code. Our first problem was to create a code which asked for your name, age, and then give the year when the person will be 100 years old. This was fairly simple. The only difficult part was determining the formula for finding what year the person would be 100, but after brainstorming solutions, I figured out the code! Our second problem was dealing with functions we learned in our lessons. The problem was to create a code that asks for a number, answers whether the number is even or odd, the square root of the number, and what numbers it is divisible by. This question was more challenging but I was able to get it done. I knew all of the code except the last part, so my classmate and I brainstormed together for the last part of the code. |
