While at Bamfield Marine Centre we were able to go into a lab name "Whale Lab". This lab was named this due to a real 10 month sperm whales bones being inside of it. While I examined these bones of this amazing animal, I wondered how they got it to be in their possession. They claim to say it was brought to shore, but why it was dead was a mystery. I here, have created a story to say what I really think happened to that whale for it to be swept to land. I hope you enjoy! It was a quiet night with a cold breeze. The tide was at its highest point, with waves hitting the shore like never before. Me being a 10-month sperm whale, I was just roaming around 200 meters depth rummaging around for food. Suddenly everything around me went dead. All the animals hurried away as quick as they could. Since my family was not with me I didn’t know what to do. This was a situation out of the ordinary! Deep thoughts struck my mind. I didn’t know what to do. Should I run or stay around the same position? Out of the dark there were two killer whales, which appeared out of the bloom. They were too big so I had no chance to fight them. The only option was nothing else but to swim. It was really dark so I wished it would help me to my advantage but it was not possibly due to the killer whales speed. Getting closer to the shore would be a better choice since the whales wouldn’t dare risking being that close to land. I got bitten on the tail since I was too slow, or maybe they were too fast. When I got closer to land they actually left because they must of thought I was crazy to even think going that close to land. The bite was too thick and too much blood was spilling out. I would not be able to survive the night. I drifted to shore and waited until I died. The next morning these folks from Bamfield Marine Centre took my body, cleaned out all its insides and put the bones in a place where they call whale lab. It is nice to see people enjoying seeing my bones!
